The "Jubilee" is an aquatic natural event where seafood and shrimps and crabs swarm the bay and it's a festival of easy fishing. The French settled Mobile prior to New Orleans and thought this would be the main port, not in Louisiana. The first Mardi Gras type celebration was here prior to the existence of New Orleans.
